College basketball is all the talk in March, and conference play brings the heat before the Madness. The Ivy League women's tournament gets started in Ithaca, New York this week.
The Ivy League is one of 31 conferences that guarantees its champion a bid to the NCAA Tournament, making the competition even hotter. The bracket is smaller than most, as only four teams qualify to play in Ithaca.
Princeton, a Top 25 team for much of the season, headlines the field with the No. 1 seed, followed by Columbia, Harvard and Brown. These top three seeds are fairly neck-and-neck based on conference records, but Princeton dropped both regular-season matchups to Columbia, which could make for a juicy rematch if it comes down to a title.
