It's pretty obvious who the Giants' LVP is at this point of the season

The San Francisco Giants came into the season with some newfound hype. They had a new manager in Tony Vitello and made some solid offseason moves like signing Luis Arraez and Harrison Bader.

The team has been a consistent .500 team over the last few years, and fans were hoping for that to change, and it has. It's just not going in the direction that they were hoping.

They currently hold a 22-33 record so far. That gives them a slight edge over the Colorado Rockies in the NL West, but they are 13 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers, who lead the division.

On paper, the offense doesn't look too bad. They hold a .246 team batting average that ranks them ninth, but they have only scored 204 runs this year, which is the lowest in the National League and the second lowest in all of baseball.

It's hard to blame just one player, but since coming to San Francisco, Rafael Devers has been a huge letdown. He's who Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer tags as the team's least valuable player.

"It's a mark of shame that Matt Chapman has one homer to Arraez's two, but at least he has his OBP up over .300. Devers is only getting on base at a .291 clip, which undercuts his seven homers and 27 RBI and certainly doesn't redeem his lack of defensive usefulness."

Devers does have seven home runs, but his .291 OBP leaves much to be desired. And that doesn't help when two sluggers like Chapman and Arraez aren't having the best time out there.

It's going to take a lot for San Francisco to dig themselves out of this hole. It will have to start with Devers and hope that it has a trickle-down effect with some of the others.
