Drake is set to briefly revive his acting career with a guest appearance in the upcoming second season of The Office Movers.
The 6 God is a longtime friend of the show’s creators, Jermaine “Jae” and Trevaunn “Trey” Richards, and a frustrated Drizzy makes a brief cameo in the series trailer ahead of the entire season coming to Canadian streamer Crave on Friday (Nov. 7).
The comedy series follows the Richards brothers’ journey working for a commercial office moving company in Toronto. They are set to navigate a series of insurance scams, a failed Airbnb apartment conversion and fake grant loan applications.
“The Office Movers is a hilarious slapstick comedy that also has some heart,” said Justin Stockman, who serves as the vice president, content development and programming at Crave parent company Bell Media said in a statement. “Jae and Trey’s sharp, culture-savvy comedy keeps the show perfectly tuned to the pulse of the moment, and we’re ecstatic they’ve landed a special appearance by one of Canada’s most iconic cultural ambassadors.”
Season two contains six episodes, and there will be a holiday-themed Office Movers special arriving on Dec. 19, which is titled Projected to Have a Blessed Christmas.
The “God’s Plan” artist has collaborated with the Richards brothers on sketches in the past, and Drizzy even sampled their work on his 2017 More Life project.
Drake — who got his start as Wheelchair Jimmy in Degrassi — is no stranger to Hollywood or the TV world. In the past, he’s guest starred in projects such as Lil Dicky’s Dave show and Anchorman 2.
