It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, we officially have the all-clear from Mariah Carey to start celebrating the Christmas season — as messaged in her new Sephora commercial — but it’s a big week for music lovers for another reason: 2026 Grammy nominations will be announced on Friday.

Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Brandi Carlile, Doechii, Nicole Scherzinger and more are set to unveil the nominations for next year’s Grammy Awards during a livestream on the Recording Academy’s YouTube page that begins at 11 a.m. ET on Friday morning. On the new Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith are talking about the nominations livestream, Carey’s annual announcement of when it’s time to welcome the holiday season (spoiler alert: it’s time), as well as rap’s two-week absence from the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time since 1990.

Listen to the new episode below:

Also on the show, we’ve got chart news about how Taylor Swift holds at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100 charts, while on the Billboard 200 we have new debuts from Daniel Caesar, Brandi Carlile and Demi Lovato. Plus, on the Hot 100, Kehlani gets her first top 10 ever with a little bit of help from her famous friends.
