Is Zion Williamson playing tonight for Pelicans vs. Nuggets tonight?

Zion Williamson’s kryptonite through his first six NBA seasons appears to be injuries.

The Duke product is among the most polarizing young talents in the league, but he can’t seem to stay healthy with the New Orleans Pelicans in his early to mid-20s.

Although Williamson appeared in the Pelicans’ first two regular-season games, a left foot injury sidelined him for New Orleans’ Monday night contest against the Boston Celtics

The Pelicans are hopeful that the 6-foot-6 two-time All-Star will rejoin the franchise on Wednesday night when they face the Denver Nuggets

Is Zion Williamson playing tonight vs. the Nuggets?

Williamson is listed as questionable for the Pelicans’ upcoming Western Conference clash with a left foot injury. Through two games, Williamson, a physical downhill driver with fluid vertical athleticism, is averaging 27.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, and six assists while shooting 46.2% from the field.

If Williamson’s lower body setback is deemed significant by the Pelicans, it’s unlikely the organization will rush him back on the hardwood with 70+ games remaining.

New Orleans has plenty of gifted contributors (Jordan Poole, Jeremiah Fears, Trey Murphy, and Saddiq Bey, to name a few) who could help pick up the slack on the offensive end and give the Nuggets a run for their money on the road.
