Lionel Messi appeared to lose his cool with his interviewers after he was asked a sexual question during an interview. The Argentine great is enjoying his off-season after leading Inter Miami to glory in the MLS Cup this season, and has been in front of cameras recently.

Fresh off his GOAT tour of four Indian cities, Lionel Messi was interviewed by a pair of hosts on a television program. The hosts tried to engage the Argentina international on the topic of sexuality, asking that he speak on sexual relations. With a calm outlook, the former Barcelona man rubbished their question, asking if they did not have anything important to speak to him about instead.

"Wait. Are you serious? Are we really going to talk about such a ridiculous topic? Did you come all the way here for this?", he asked (via en.haberler.com).

Messi has long been known as a private person who does his best to keep his personal life out of the spotlight despite his reputation as one of the greatest ever footballers. He turned down a move to Saudi Arabia in 2023 in favour of moving to the USA, where he knew he would enjoy a more robust family life.

Lionel Messi has been the recipient of major success in recent times, winning both the MLS Golden Boot and MVP awards for the 2025 season. He also signed a new three-year deal with the Herons, and is expected to remain on their books until the end of the 2028 season.

Inter Miami linked with move for Lionel Messi's ex-teammate

Inter Miami have been linked with a move to sign Argentine defender Marcos Rojo ahead of the 2026 season, as per reports. The Herons are looking to strengthen their ranks after an impressive 2025 season that saw them win the MLS Cup for the first time in their history.

According to TNT Sports Argentina, Lionel Messi's ex-teammate is one player that Inter Miami are looking to bring in at the back. The 35-year-old is on the books of Argentine outfit Racing Club but has been used sparingly since his transfer in August.

Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano has sanctioned the signing of Sergio Reguilon at the back and the renewal of Luis Suarez's contract. A deal to sign his former teammate Rojo will interest him, particularly if the former Manchester United man fits into his plans for the 2026 season and beyond.
