The Buffalo Sabres return from the Olympic break on Wednesday. They'll be in New Jersey taking on the Devils.
Whether or not Tage Thompson is on the ice is the question all Buffalo fans are asking.
Thompson just won a gold medal with Team USA in the Olympics on Sunday over Canada.
On Monday, he and his teammates celebrated with a party in Miami.
On Tuesday, Thompson was in Washington, D.C. for the State of the Union address.
That doesn't leave a ton of time to get to New Jersey and play, but it's also not a particularly long commute if Thompson heads straight there from the nation's capital.

Is Tage Thompson playing tonight?
Thompson's status for Wednesday night's game is uncertain.
It could come down mostly to how his body and legs are feeling after the intensity of the Olympics and the travel that followed.
“We don't have anything mapped out right now. I think it just depends on how things go,” Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff said on Monday.
Ruff also joked that he's not sure any of the Team USA players would be ready to play for a while, but that had more to do with him chuckling at the fervor of their celebrations.
Thompson is obviously crucial for Buffalo's chances of ending their 14-year playoff drought, and it's safe to expect him back soon. Whether or not that is on Wednesday will likely only be determined closer to game time.
