Saturday Night Live’s hiatus has been surprisingly filled with… new content?
On March 21, Saturday Night Live UK debuted and, after a slight delay, made its way to Peacock for U.S. streamers to enjoy. The series also released a new YouTube show, The Rundown, where a slew of current and former SNL stars select iconic sketches to create an all-star SNL episode.
In the debut episode, Colin Jost selected the classic Katie Couric/Sarah Palin interview (Amy Poehler/Tina Fey) from Season 34 to represent the cold open, while in the next episode, Dana Carvey picked his Wayne’s World/Aerosmith sketch from Season 15.
Those are terrific options, but I would have gone with Steve Martin’s enduring “Not Gonna Phone It In Tonight” musical number for my cold open and either an “Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer” or “Van Down By The River” for my opening sketch.
Okay, let’s get back to business. We now know the next two SNL hosts. When exactly does Saturday Night Live return with new episodes? Here’s everything you need to know.
