Is Joel Embiid playing vs. Timberwolves tonight? Game status for 76ers star

The Philadelphia 76ers will look to pull out a second consecutive win when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.

It will be the second and final meeting of the season between the teams. The 76ers won the first meeting in February by a score of 135-108.

Joel Embiid 'doubtful' to play against Timberwolves on Friday night 

Sixers star center Joel Embiid didn’t play in that first game against Minnesota, and he doesn’t look like he’ll be out on the floor this time around either.  

Embiid is listed as "doubtful" on the official injury report for the game due to an illness, indicating that he's unlikely to play. His final status will be determined prior to tipoff.
