The Philadelphia 76ers will close out the regular season at home against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night.
It will be the fourth meeting of the season between the two teams. The Sixers won all three of the previous matchups.
Joel Embiid won't play in Philadelphia's regular season finale after appendectomy
While the Bucks are eliminated from playoff contention, the Sixers are still fighting for postseason positioning and hoping to avoid the Play-In Tournament, so the game is an important one for them.
This should come as no surprise, but the Sixers won't have the services of star center Joel Embiid for the season finale. Embiid was ruled out of the game against Milwaukee as he continues to recover from an emergency appendectomy earlier this week.
No timeline for a potential return for Embiid has been provided. So it remains to be seen if he'll be available at all should the Sixers advance beyond the Play-In Tournament.
Embiid's regular season is now effectively over. He finished the campaign averaging 26.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.2 blocks in 38 games for Philadelphia. It's the third straight season that Embiid failed to reach 40 games played.
