Is Jayden Daniels hurt? Commanders' QB has injured throwing hand 'superglued' on sideline vs. Eagles

2 hours ago 1

The Commanders squared off against the Eagles in a big primetime matchup on Thursday night, but during the third quarter, something seemed off with Washington QB Jayden Daniels. He wasn't as accurate as he has been so far this season, and it didn't seem as if he was going through all his reads.

Daniels finished the first half with just 83 passing yards. In the second half, the broadcast of the game saw that the training staff were working on the quarterback's throwing hand. This is obviously concerning if you are a fan of either Daniels or the Commanders.

Is the quarterback actually hurt, and if so, how serious is it?

Jayden Daniels injury update

Daniels is dealing with a cut on his throwing hand. Normally, that wouldn't sound too bad, but it looks like a pretty gnarly and deep cut. The injury was intense enough that in order to quickly stop the bleeding, the training staff used superglue to seal the wound so that the bleeding would stop faster.

The cut itself looks like it is in the gap between his pinky and ring fingers on his right hand. The superglue will likely help keep the wound closed because the quarterback could easily re-open the cut whenever he grips the ball or takes a hit.

The good news is that the injury doesn't look like it will keep him off the field. It could keep hurting his accuracy, but the Philadelphia defense is probably more concerning for Daniels than his cut at the moment.
