Is Jakobi Meyers playing today? Latest injury update, fantasy advice for Raiders WR in Week 7

2 hours ago 3

An already short-handed Las Vegas Raiders pass-catchers group is in danger of not having its second best option for the Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs in wide receiver Jakobi Meyers.

Meyers was a new addition to the injury report this week with knee and toe issues and was only able to log a single limited session before drawing a questionable tag.

The injury concern over Meyers comes amid the team also dealing with an injury to tight end Brock Bowers, who has missed the previous two games and looks set to miss another thanks to a doubtful tag.

Here's what we know about Meyers for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Is Jakobi Meyers playing today?

Unfortunately, we don't have a concrete answer to this question yet.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Meyers is true game-time decision and will test his knee and toe issues out on Sunday morning before making a final decision.

"Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a knee and toe injury, will work out pre-game to determine whether he can play against the Chiefs, per source," Schefter reported.

Jakobi Meyers fantasy advice

Tre Tucker is the team's leading receiver and becomes a viable starting option if Meyers joins Bowers on the inactives list.

Through six games this season, Tucker has found pay dirt four times (three came in one game) and has 356 receiving yards. Las Vegas doesn't have any other viable starting option at wide receiver on the roster.

Meyers ranks as WR35 overall through six contests, so he's a shaky flex option, at best, if he suits up.

We would put Tucker in a similar category. Tucker does rank as WR10 overall, but 40.9 of his fantasy points came in one game, which skews that ranking considerably.
