Is Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott a top 10 quarterback in the NFL?

1 hour ago 2

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott did not play in an NFL game after November 3 of the 2024 season because of an injury. Well, it appears as if Prescott is back better than ever at 32 years old during the first two games of the 2025 NFL season.

He has played well during the first two games of the 2025 regular season. In his first two games, he has completed 68.6% of his passes for 549 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Prescott has not been as mobile as he has only rushed for 20 yards on four carries and averaging 5.0 yards per carry. Is Prescott a top 10 quarterback in the NFL through the first two weeks of the 2025 NFL season?

CBS Sports Ranks Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott Through the First Two Weeks Of the 2025 Regular Season

The Cowboys have a 1-1 record throughout the first two weeks of the 2025 season. If they did not have him, they would probably be 0-2 right now. CBS Sports writer Cody Benjamin ranked his quarterbacks throughout the first two weeks of the season. He has Prescott ranked at number 10 on his quarterback rankings. Benjamin said,

"The Cowboys feel like a circus of a mixed bag after a shootout with the Giants. But Prescott has quietly turned in some sharp pocket-passing displays so far, keeping both CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens appropriately involved."

Prescott will have a good chance to continue to pad his numbers against a bad Chicago Bears defense on the road on Sunday. Chicago has struggled against J.J. McCarthy and Jared Goff already this season. There is a good chance that Prescott will throw for over 300 yards against Chicago this weekend.

He has to play consistent all season long for the Cowboys in order for him to be considered a top 10 quarterback in the NFL. It is amazing that he has looked very good through the first two weeks of the year after missing a lot of games during the 2024 NFL season.
