Chet Holmgren has given the Oklahoma City Thunder a major boost ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Thunder big man missed the team’s previous three games with back soreness but is off the injury report.

His absence didn’t hinder the Thunder much, as they tied a franchise record with a 7-0 start to the 2025-26 season. They are the only remaining undefeated team in the league. Now, with Holmgren back on the floor, Oklahoma City will look to make it 8-0 when it faces a Clippers team that has had a mixed start to the season at 3-3.

Chet Holmgren puts forward a case to fill the creative void left by Jalen Williams, who is nursing a wrist injury and yet to make his season debut. In his first four games, the former No. 2 overall pick put up 23.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, shooting 56.9% from the field and 41.7% from beyond the arc.

He could be a major contributor in Tuesday's game. His presence on the glass could also help get the best out of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who seems to be having another MVP-caliber season, averaging almost 33 a night.
