Caitlin Clark's second season in the WNBA hasn't gone as smoothly as her rookie year did. She had already missed five games in the 2025 season due to a left quad strain, and could miss more with a new injury.
Clark and the Fever are set to take on the Sparks on Thursday, June 25. The game is in the middle of a brutal stretch where Indiana is playing three games within a four-game span. Clark played in the first game of the week in a 94-86 win over the Storm. She finished with only six points, going 0-6 from beyond the arc.
Clark had been struggling, and it may be because she was dealing with an injury. The Fever announced that she had sustained a left groin injury.

Here is more on Clark's new injury and whether she is playing against Los Angeles on Thursday night.
Is Caitlin Clark playing tonight?
No. Clark has been ruled out with a right groin injury. We don't yet know the extent of the injury, but there is hope that it is just a rest day for the point guard, as Indiana has three games in four days.
— Indiana Fever (@IndianaFever) June 26, 2025This isn't the first injury for Clark in the 2025 season. Indiana has played 14 games, but Clark has only been able to suit up for nine. She missed five games due to a left quad strain earlier this year.
Is Caitlin Clark injured?
Maybe. She is listed as out with a left groin injury, but if she is injured, she didn't appear to suffer it in the team's last game against Seattle.
It could just be rest during the tough stretch of games, and with her shooting slump.
When will Caitlin Clark return?
We don't yet know the extent of the star's injury, but here are the Fever's next five games.

Caitlin Clark injury history
Clark is known for her ability to be on the court, and play through minor injuries. She dealt with ankle issues during her time at Iowa, but she hadn't missed a game since high school. Clark came into this season dealing with a left quad injury that caused her to miss training camp and the first preseason game.
Her quad strain suffered in-season was ruled not to be related to her pre-season injury, but it did cause her to be sidelined for more than two weeks. This was the first big injury of her career. Now, she is dealing with a groin strain. She could just be getting rest for the first game of a back-to-back, but if not, then it will likely be tough for her to play on Friday night on the road against Dallas. With a big break coming in the schedule, Clark could get nearly a week off to rest up and heal.
