Anthony Edwards is doubtful to suit up for the Minnesota Timberwolves in their game against the Denver Nuggets on Monday. The Wolves will play on the back end of a back-to-back after recording a 114-110 victory against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. Edwards started against the Pacers but exited the game after just three minutes.
The three-time All-Star complained of right hamstring tightness and went back to back to the locker room. The Timberwolves later announced that Edwards won't take any further part in the contest.
The athletic guard emerged from the locker room and took a seat on Minnesota's bench, albeit in street clothes. In three minutes of action, the 6-foot-4 superstar scored five quick points on five shots and also recorded one rebound.

The Timberwolves would be tempted to rest Anthony Edwards against the Nuggets to give their talisman time to recover and avoid chances of further aggravation. Final confirmation on his status will be known when Timberwolves' coach Chris Finch speaks to the media during the pregame presser.

Anthony Edwards has enjoyed a blistering start to the season. On opening night, he scored 41 points in a win over the Portland Trail Blazers. The Timberwolves star followed it up with a 31-point outing against the LA Lakers in the second game of the season. Despite his strong performance in Los Angeles, Minnesota tasted its first defeat of the season.
