Anthony Davis is likely to suit up for the Dallas Mavericks in their second preseason game against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. The 6-foot-10 forward is fully healthy and appeared to be in high spirits during the Mavericks' Fan Jam at the American Airlines Center on Friday.
Davis was part of Team Blue’s starting lineup, which was the same lineup that started against the OKC Thunder in Dallas’ preseason opener on Monday. During the game against OKC, the former LA Lakers center played 16 minutes and delivered an outstanding all-around performance.

He scored seven points on 3 of 5 shooting, including 1 of 2 from beyond the arc. His frontcourt partnership with Dereck Lively II flourished seamlessly as the duo combined for 11 rebounds in limited minutes, with Davis recording seven boards himself. The one-time NBA champion also dished out one assist and registered two blocks.

Anthony Davis to play with eyeglassess after undergoing surgery
Anthony Davis is adjusting to playing with eyeglasses as doctors have mandated him to wear them for the rest of his career. The former New Orleans Pelicans star has suffered multiple eye injuries in the past and even underwent surgery this offseason.
"That is a mandate from the doctor that I have to, for the rest of my career, which I’m not too excited about," Davis said recently. "I’ve been wearing them in the summer working out and kind of getting used to them. But yeah, you guys will see me in the Horace Grants this year. Kareems. I will have some protective eyewear, for sure.Meanwhile, the Mavericks are slated to play three more preseason games, including the game against the Hornets on Saturday. Anthony Davis is expected to rest in at least one of those games before he begins his 14th regular season campaign.
