Among the many storylines headlining the 2025 WNBA season is the fallout from Caitlin Clark's flagrant foul of Angel Reese in the season opener between the Fever and Sky.

While tensions rose and Reese took exception to the contact, cooler heads prevailed, and both teams played on without the run-in escalating into an altercation. Still, the foul itself has dominated discussions around the sports world, with some conversations taking a life of their own.

Those conversations now include reports that Reese had been further disciplined for her role in the dustup, as multiple YouTube videos suggest that the Sky's second-year star has received a suspension for her reaction to the foul.

Is Angel Reese suspended?

No, Reese is not suspended for her role in the on-court altercation during Chicago's season opener.

Contrary to reports in fake YouTube videos that have amassed over 100,000 views, Reese was not barred from games. The sole discipline she received was a technical foul vs. Indiana — Reese was not even ejected from the Sky's matchup with the Fever.

After the season opener, Clark maintained that her foul was a part of the game, and Reese echoed that sentiment, saying it was a "Basketball play," and that “Refs got it right. Move on."

Five days after the run-in, Reese was in action for the Sky's second game of the season. While she could not get going offensively, Reese pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds (eight offensive) in a loss to the defending-champion Liberty.

Reese will again be back in action when the Sky travel to L.A. to take on the Sparks on Sunday, May 25.
