India A named their squad for the upcoming Rising Stars Asia Cup. The tournament will be played in Qatar from November 14 to 23. Jitesh Sharma has been named captain of the side, while Naman Dhir will serve as his deputy.

India A are placed in Group B alongside Oman, UAE, and Pakistan A. They will play three group stage matches and begin their campaign against the UAE on Friday, November 14. Their next clash will be against Pakistan A on Sunday, November 16, before facing Oman on Tuesday, November 18.

The two semifinals are scheduled to be held on Friday, November 21, with the final to be played on Sunday, November 23. All matches will take place at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha.

All players selected in the squad are a part of various IPL teams. On that note, here is a team-by-team breakdown of IPL players named in the India A squad for the Rising Stars Asia Cup.


#1 Chennai Super Kings (CSK) - 1 player

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Gurjapneet Singh is part of India A's squad for the Rising Stars Asia Cup. After being picked for IPL 2025, he was ruled out due to a groin injury and did not play the entire season.

The left-arm pacer is currently plying his trade for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26. He has been impressive with eight wickets from two matches at an average of 18.25. In domestic T20s, he has played five matches and has picked up nine wickets.


#2 Mumbai Indians (MI) - 1 player

Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Naman Dhir has been named India A's vice-captain. The left-hander has played two seasons in 2024 and 2025 for MI in the IPL. In 23 matches, he has scored 392 runs at an average of 28 and a strike-rate of 180.64.

The 25-year-old has featured in 35 T20s so far in his career. He has scored 563 runs at an average of 23.45 with a strike-rate of 166.56, including a half-century.


#3 SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) - 1 player

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) spinner Harsh Dubey has been included in India A's squad. The 23-year-old played three matches in IPL 2025 and picked up five wickets.

He has a brilliant first-class record. In 24 matches, he has accounted for 123 scalps at an average of 22.26. However, he has played only 19 T20s so far and has picked up 14 wickets.


#4 Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) - 1 player

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star Ramandeep Singh did not have a great IPL 2025 season. He managed just 47 runs from seven innings. Ramandeep has played two T20Is so far, scoring 15 runs.

Having made his T20I debut in 2024, he has been unable to establish his spot in the team. Ramandeep will aim to perform well for India A in the upcoming tournament and redeem himself.


#5 Delhi Capitals (DC) - 2 players

Ashutosh Sharma and Abhishek Porel are the two Delhi Capitals (DC) players in the India A squad. Ashutosh impressed in IPL 2025 with his impactful performances. He scored 204 runs from nine innings with a strike-rate of 160.62.

On the other hand, Abhishek Porel had a decent season. He made 301 runs from 13 innings with a strike-rate of 146.82. The left-hander has played over 50 T20s and has more than 1200 runs. He has been included as the second wicketkeeper.


#6 Rajasthan Royals (RR) - 2 players

Star Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi will be in the spotlight. The 14-year-old impressed with 252 runs from seven innings at a strike-rate of 206.55 with a century as well. He has been in top form for India U-19 and Bihar in the Ranji Trophy.

28-year-old RR pacer Yudhvir Singh has been named in the squad as well. He has played nine matches and bagged eight wickets in his IPL career to date. Yudhvir picked up 11 wickets from two matches in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, displaying impressive form.


#7 Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) - 2 players

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) stars Jitesh Sharma and Suyash Sharma are also part of the squad. Jitesh has been named captain of the side as well. He was part of the Indian team that won the Asia Cup 2025. Jitesh is currently in Australia for the ongoing T20I series.

Wrist-spinner Suyash Sharma played a key role in RCB's IPL 2025 triumph. He bagged eight wickets from 14 matches. The 22-year-old has played 41 T20s and has picked up as many wickets at an average of 28.29 and an economy of 7.85.


#8 Punjab Kings (PBKS) - 5 players

Priyansh Arya, Suryansh Shedge, Vyshak Vijaykumar, Nehal Wadhera, and Yash Thakur are the five Punjab Kings (PBKS) players in the India A squad. Priyansh and Nehal played crucial roles in taking PBKS to the IPL 2025 final.

Priyansh scored 475 runs from 17 matches at a strike-rate of 179.24 with a century as well. Nehal made 369 runs from 15 innings with a strike-rate of 145.84. Suryansh, Vyshak, and Yash did not get a lot of opportunities.

The players will look to make a mark should they get chances in the Rising Stars Asia Cup. Priyansh and Nehal will also aim to build on their IPL performances in this tournament.

(NOTE: There are no players from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT) in the squad)
