Ioan Gruffudd "Fantastic Four" Movie Advice

Ioan Gruffudd and Bianca Wallace are stepping into a fantastic future.

Four years after the Fantastic Four actor’s tumultuous divorce from Alice Evans after 13 years of marriage, the 52-year-old tied the knot with Bianca, 32, during an intimate beachside ceremony.

“Mr & Mrs Gruffudd,” the newlyweds captioned their joint Instagram post April 26, alongside a dreamy montage of their romantic nuptials. “Marriage now, wedding later.”

In the video, which is set to Mertin Arteta’s “Past Lives,” the couple can be seen sharing a sweet kiss and a glass of champagne after declaring their love for each other in front of a beautiful orange sunset. And of course, they couldn’t celebrate the momentous occasion without Bianca’s dog Bear by their side.

Ioan and Bianca’s picturesque union comes a little over a year after the two announced their engagement with a photo of the actress holding up her emerald ring with the biggest smile on her face as she went in for a celebratory kiss.

And in their joint post, announcing the big news in January 2024, the pair added the caption, “The most precious thing happened.”

But for Ioan, this new chapter in his personal life came after years of headlines about his former relationship. In fact, his split from Alice—whom he met on the set of Disney’s 102 Dalmatians in 2000 and married seven years later during a ceremony in Mexico—brought about a few difficult years.

In a January 2021 post on X (formerly Twitter) that she deleted soon after, The Vampire Diaries actress—who shares daughters Ella, 14, and Elsie, 10, with Ioan—wrote that he "announced he is to leave his family, starting next week."

"Me and our young daughters girls [sic] are very confused and sad,” she continued at the time. “We haven't been given a reason except that he ‘no longer loves me'. I'm so sorry."

The Forever actor officially filed for divorce two months later at a Los Angeles courthouse, listing the case as a “dissolution with minor children.” And in February 2022, Alice requested primary legal and physical custody of their daughters—which she was granted that same month—as well as spousal support.

But that same month, Ioan filed for a domestic violence restraining order against his estranged wife, noting that if he “left her, she would make false public accusations about me, sell false stories about me to the press, and destroy me and my career.”

He went on to allege that Alice threatened to tell people he abused her and their daughters as well as forge a diary that made him out to be a drug addict and abuser. However, she soon after filed a response that declared that “whatever allegations he is going to make against me are false.”

The two were declared legally divorced in July 2023 as they continued to work on a settlement, per court docs obtained by Us Weekly at the time.

Now, despite the ongoing battles over spousal support and custody of his and Alice’s daughters, Ioan and Bianca are embarking on a new and exciting chapter together. For more recent celebrity weddings, keep reading…
