Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar is among the most dominant performers in professional wrestling. A former WWE star recently used The Beast Incarnate as a reference to disclose the initial pitch for her high-stakes match in 2020.
The name in question is Shayna Baszler. The former NXT Women's Champion's most dominant performance on the main roster was in the 2020 Women's Elimination Chamber Match. She entered the contest at number 4 and went on to eliminate all five opponents and secure the win.
Speaking in an interview with Catch Club, Baszler noted that the initial pitch was to have her as one of the two stars starting off the multi-woman match and then run through the field. The former PFC member added that she was made to stand inside the pod for some time to prolong the match. She said that changes were made due to the assumption that the fans might hate it.
"Well, there was a little to do about it because I think the initial pitch was to, like, Brock Lesnar my way through, where I think they wanted me in first, and then I just go one by one to each one, and it’s like well, that’s not, the fans are going to hate that. So we kind of came up with the way that we did it to kind of give a little bit of both. They get to see a little bit of a match, and then I can show it one by one on the last few. So yeah, that’s kind of how it worked out," Baszler said. What's going wrong between Jey Uso & WWE? Check now!

Shayna Baszler has already won a title after her WWE exit
Shayna Baszler was released from her contract with the wrestling promotion earlier this year in May, ending her WWE run after eight years. Following her exit from the global juggernaut, The Queen of Spades has already shown up backstage on NXT on multiple occasions.
The 45-year-old returned to the squared circle last month to compete on the independent circuit. In just her second match back, Baszler defeated Lacey Lane to win the vacant BRCW Women's Championship on November 2.
Shayna Baszler has also disclosed that she is open to returning to WWE. It will be intriguing to see if the wrestling promotion decides to sign her back.
