Reality TV wild card Spencer Pratt just scored another viral celebrity boost, this time from Foodgod, who told an interviewer he would move back to Los Angeles if Pratt wins the mayor’s race.
“Spencer Pratt wins, I’m moving back to L.A.,” Foodgod said in a video clip that exploded across social media after being posted by the Adam’s Apple X account.
“Foodgod”, who has more than 8 million TikTok followers alone, framed the city as being at a breaking point while praising Pratt as the only candidate capable of reviving what he called the “old L.A.”
“L.A. needs new energy. Please bring old L.A. back, because it’s got a heartbeat,” Foodgod said. “Right now, if Spencer doesn’t win, L.A. is done. I might never go back.”
The comments quickly ricocheted online and became the latest in a string of viral moments fueling Pratt’s unconventional mayoral run.
Foodgod, whose real name is Jonathan Cheban, rose to fame through his close ties to the Kardashian world and built a massive online following around luxury food culture, celebrity access and nightlife.
But in the interview, he shifted into blunt political frustration, saying New York was “on fire” while arguing Los Angeles had lost the energy that once made the city magnetic.
“I know that he’s going to fight to bring it back,” Foodgod said of Pratt. “This is the only shot L.A.’s got.”
The exchange also tapped into a growing undercurrent Pratt has been trying to harness throughout the race: the idea that Los Angeles has become unaffordable, chaotic and culturally hollowed out under current leadership.
The viral clip landed just as Pratt continues to dominate online attention surrounding the race, despite having no traditional political background.
His debate appearances, social media videos and attacks on homelessness spending have repeatedly generated outsized engagement compared to establishment candidates.
“And I heard he crushed it on the debate tonight,” Foodgod added before leaving the interview.
