A depraved illegal immigrant from Guatemala who was “caught in the act” of molesting a young child in Alabama over the weekend made a sick confession to cops, authorities said.

“It is what it is,” Luis Lopez-Martinez, 38, allegedly told Limestone County deputies.

Lopez-Martinez was arrested Sunday and charged with sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 after the victim’s family caught him molesting the child and held him for police, Fox News reported.

The shocked relatives allegedly wrestled the migrant to the ground when they caught him, the outlet said.

The child was rushed to a local hospital for evaluation. The child’s condition was not immediately available.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have placed a detainer on the accused child molester and are expected to initiate deportation proceedings after his criminal case is over, Fox News reported.

Under federal immigration policy, Lopez-Martinez would first complete a prison sentence if he is convicted before being turned over to ICE for deportation.

According to online sheriff’s department records, Lopez-Martinez is being held on $2 million bail.

The sheriff’s office said it has not ruled out additional charges in the case.

“I would like to thank Deputy [Bradley] Fontenot and Investigator [Kandace] Wilson for their dedication and tireless efforts in seeking justice for this innocent child,” Limestone County Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin said.

“Their efforts reinforce our commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community and ensuring that justice is served.”
