Sophie Cunningham is open to playing for a different team if they can offer her the contract of her desire. On October 13, Cunningham, who will be a free agent next season, said on her "Show Me Something" podcast that she wanted a bigger contract for one particular reason, bringing the Indiana Fever fans to the edge of their seats.

"I think the next team I play for, I want a bigger contract. So then I can buy a house and be homey and cozy," Cunningham said.

If the league and the WNBPA reach an agreement in the new CBA before free agency starts, the contracts would look a lot different, and Cunningham would want to make the most from the opportunity.

Reacting to Sophie Cunningham's comment, one of the fans predicted that she was going to stay in Indy for a big reason.

"Sophie is not dumb. That fame isn’t gonna follow past Indy."

A fan said that leaving the Fever would be a mistake by Cunningham.

"She will be making a mistake. She made herself famous playing with the Fever. Few people knew who she was before and she will have less publicity somewhere else."

"We have GOT to keep our Enforcer, the Warrior Queen. She is the Fever's Spark Plug. @sophaller gotta stay."

Sophie Cunningham takes new physical challenge amid while recovering from knee injury

Sophie Cunningham has never been one to limit herself, and that has sometimes led her to hilariously question her own mental state. While she is still recovering from an MCL tear, the Indiana Fever star already has her eyes on a new challenge.

During the same episode, Cunningham revealed to her co-host, West Wilson, that she was planning on running in the marathon next year.

"I have an awesome friend out here, her name is Amy, and she does the Hawaii, there is like a Honolulu marathon every year around December," she said. (Timetsamp: 21:18) "Hawaii is my happy place, so I was like, 'heck yeah.' But my leg is not ready for it this year. So, I am actually doing a full marathon next year, and I am trying to get Lindsey, my sister, to do it too. But I think I'm mentally ill."
