'I picked them up myself and have been fostering since': Determined rescuer steps up for a litter of vulnerable kittens when no organization could help

Pulled these little ones out from under a dilapidated old deck with my own hands and have had them now for a week. Attempting to get rid of fleas on kittens too young to be treated is no joke. One is a runt and is struggling to keep eat. The rest are in surprisingly good health!

Have spent probably $800 just in extra vet costs and supplies that the foster agency didn't cover. NO rescues in the area would come get them, so I picked them up myself and have been fostering since. And I have grown to love them dearly.

Constantly cleaning, monitoring, feeding, etc. I cant believe how much work it is. But wow, it's so worth it to see them thrive! How I will let them go, I have no idea!

Prestigious-Yak-6161 Sounds like you have 4 new lifelong best friends lol.

  • These kittens may not realize it yet, but they just found themselves a best friend for life. Between the flea baths, vet visits, late-night check-ins, and everything else that comes with raising a litter, they've already got someone firmly in their corner. It's impossible to spend that much time caring for tiny kittens without getting attached. Whether they eventually find forever homes or not, they'll always have one person who was there from the very beginning cheering them on.

Playfulgirl_03 The kittens are lucky you found them. Not everyone would have stepped up the way you did.

honeyapp Thank you for rescuing these kittens. You are an amazing person. You could just keep them all. Are they too young for a bath to get rid of fleas? Other posts have suggested Dawn dishwashing liquid. And also kitten lady website and videos. They are all so adorable

Paschfire They're absolutely beautiful little ones.

  • These kittens are so adorable that they'll probably have no trouble winning people over when it's time to find forever homes. Between the tiny faces, curious personalities, and all the progress they've made since being rescued, it's easy to see why anyone would fall for them. The real challenge won't be finding families willing to adopt them. It'll be saying goodbye after spending so much time helping them grow from vulnerable little kittens into healthy, happy cats.

bb9116 ONE kitten can make you insane, broke, and exhausted!

  • Taking care of one kitten is already a full-time job. Now multiply that by four. Suddenly every feeding, cleaning session, vet check, and flea treatment turns into a group project. Just keeping track of who's eaten, who's gained weight, and who's getting into trouble sounds exhausting. It's no wonder foster caregivers always look a little tired. Raising a whole litter is a ton of work, but seeing four healthy, happy kittens growing stronger every day has to make all the effort worthwhile.
