“I’m sad” - Stamp Fairtex ices down backstage after tough loss to Kana Morimoto at ONE 173

Former three-sport ONE world champion Stamp Fairtex made sure to ice her surgically repaired knee in the aftermath of her grueling three-round atomweight kickboxing showdown with Kana Morimoto.

The Thai megastar returned after two years on the sidelines at ONE 173: Superbon vs Noiri last November 16 at Tokyo's Ariake Arena.

Unfortunately for Stamp, her comeback fight did not go as planned, as Kana outclassed her for three full rounds to take home the unanimous decision victory.

"I'm sad," an emotional Stamp said during a post-fight clip shared by ONE Championship on its socials.

Stamp tore her meniscus last year and made the tough choice to relinquish her atomweight MMA world title.

After enduring some physical and mental struggles on her path to a full recovery, the 27-year-old made her way back to the Circle in the biggest combat sports event of the year.

Stamp shrugged off a slow start in her return fight, which is understandable given her lengthy time away from fighting. The Fairtex Training Center product eventually got her groove and had her moments against Kana.

However, the night simply belonged to 'Krusher Queen', whose speed and precise punch combinations were simply too much for the returning Stamp.
