Absent AEW star Britt Baker has attracted attention after sharing a personal update where she makes a seemingly lighthearted comment about the weather.
Britt Baker has not appeared on AEW programming since November 2024. Although there were reports that no creative plans were in place for her, specific reasons for her absence have not been disclosed to this day. Sadly for Dr. D.M.D., who was once a leader of the women's division, her hiatus seems to have hurt her standing in the Jacksonville-based promotion. During her absence, Baker has been actively sharing personal updates on her social media and presented a quite funny situation earlier today.
A few hours ago, Baker took to Instagram and posted a video on her stories where she explained how tough she was when it came to handling cold weather compared to how weak she's become now. The former AEW Women's Champion was referring to the cold climate in Florida, where she currently is.
"I'm so embarrassing like I grew up in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Like I'm a Pennsylvania girl. Punxsutawney, Pittsburgh, Penn State. I used to walk to class for 40 minutes in blizzards, in ice, in snow, and it was like, whatever, it's fine, it's no big deal. Like in my uggs no less, slipping and sliding all over the place, there was no traction on those f**ing things, but it's 52 degrees in Florida right now, and I'm ready to die, I'm ready to just call it. It's so cold. What happened to me? I was tough, I was a bad b*ch with the cold weather, and now I'm so soft, I'm so weak. It's supposed to get down in the 30s (degrees) tonigh,t and I'm scared. I don't know what I'm going to do, I don't know how to live like this. I want to be how I used to be, I want to be able to handle the weather," Baker said.Secret reason behind John Cena's massive win - Watch Here!

Britt Baker shared the update in a video message on her story [Screengrab via Instagram]AEW recently referenced Britt Baker amid her absence
Last week, All Elite Wrestling released its new book titled: This Book is All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling. The cover of this book featured several stars who were crucial in building the promotion, including Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, Hangman Page, Chris Jericho, Hikaru Shida, the Young Bucks, Darby Allin, and Britt Baker.
This Baker reference marked a rare occasion when Tony Khan's promotion publicly acknowledged the star during her months of absence. Meanwhile, Tony Khan had earlier stated that Baker is still with AEW and he hopes to have her back soon. That said, he provided no reason for her absence.
