Bollywood actor Agastya Nanda named Team India star Abhishek Sharma as his favorite player amid the T20I series against South Africa. The Men in Blue are playing a five-match T20I series against the Proteas at home.

Agastya Nanda's latest film 'Ikkis' is set to release soon. In the movie, he plays the role of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. Appearing on JioStar, Agastya was asked about one cricketer who reminded him of Arun Khetarpal. The actor picked left-handed Indian opener Abhishek Sharma for his fearless and attacking approach with the bat.

"If I see current form, I would say Abhishek Sharma. The fearlessness with which he plays, it is almost like our character, like Arun Khetarpal. Obviously, it is in a different field. But I love the way he plays," he said.

India leads the five-match series 2-1. They won the first T20I by 101 runs. South Africa bounced back with a 51-run win in the second game. However, the hosts won the third match by seven wickets. The fourth game was abandoned without the toss taking place due to excessive fog. Therefore, the Men in Blue will have to win the final T20I to win the series. The fifth match will be played in Ahmedabad on Friday, December 19.
