Iga Swiatek has opened up about what it felt like to dance with Jannik Sinner at the 2025 Wimbledon Champions' Ball. Sinner clinched his maiden Wimbledon title after triumphing over two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the final, while Swiatek crushed Amanda Anisimova to get her hands on the coveted trophy at the grasscourt Major for the first time.

Although both Sinner and Swiatek had been apprehensive about sharing a dance as the victors, the pair appeared to be enjoying one another's company while showing off their moves at the event.

During a recent interview with Polsat Sport, Iga Swiatek fondly looked back on the experience and revealed that she maintained the relaxed atmosphere with Jannik Sinner by whispering jokes in his ear while they danced. The Pole also said she was hoping for another chance to take the floor with Sinner at the event.

"I think Jannik was feeling pretty relaxed for a number of reasons; I also wanted to ease the atmosphere, so I kept making little jokes in his ear. He was mostly leading, I just tried to keep up - since that's kind of how it goes in dancing I guess. On the other hand we both knew we didn't want to try anything complicated, so I really enjoyed it and I hope we'll get another chance sometime," Iga Swiatek said. (Translated from Polish).

Swiatek's comments about Sinner feeling relaxed before the dance don't come as a surprise, since the Italian recently disclosed that he had been drinking a little before the "cute" moment.

"I had a little drink before it, but it was cute, it was nice!," Sinner told Sky Sports Italy.

Iga Swiatek has also spoken about how "great" the dance turned out after she and Jannik Sinner had debated whether to partake in the time-honored tradition at all.

In an interview with BBC after his Wimbledon triumph, Jannik Sinner revealed that he and Iga Swiatek had been given the option to skip the dance at the Champions' Ball. However, the Pole convinced Sinner to take part in the tradition, with the four-time Grand Slam champion describing it as a "beautiful moment."

"Yes, I mean we were there and in the beginning they told us that because it was quite late, (so) we don't have to do it. And then Iga told me 'no, no, let's do it,' and I was like 'okay.' I mean, it's tradition, so it's good to make that happen. And yeah, it was nice to share that moment now with Iga and it was a beautiful moment," he said.

On the tennis front, Swiatek was most recently in action at the WTA Finals in Riyadh. Although the World No. 2 was aiming to win her second title at the year-end championships, she failed to reach the semifinals after suffering losses to Elena Rybakina and Amanda Anisimova.

On the other hand, Jannik Sinner has set up a blockbuster title clash against Carlos Alcaraz at the ATP Finals. While the Italian is looking to defend his title in Turin, Alcaraz is attempting to lift the trophy for the first time in his career.
