Nebraska volleyball team's Rebekah Allick recently made her feelings known about the support and love the team has been receiving throughout the season so far. As the team faced the USC Trojans on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California, Allick spoke about the team's popularity in the away games, too. The Huskers defeated the Trojans in front of 9,072 fans, which marked the latter team's first sold-out match in its home arena. In the same match, Allick posted nine kills on .692 hitting.
After the faceoff, Allick opened up on the team's USC Trojans' new school record in attendance, most of which leaned towards the Huskers. In an interview with si.com, Allick reflected on how fans stayed after the match to click pictures and get autographs from the team. She also highlighted that some of the fans stayed in the same hotel as the Huskers to interact with the team.
“Husker nation is a big old happy family,” she said. “All these amazing things remind you why you play for Nebraska. It’s bigger than high-level volleyball. It’s a big family, and you’re representing a whole state.” (via huskers.com)The Nebraska Volleyball continued their victorious streak with a 25-13, 25-16, 25-20 sweep over the Trojans.
Nebraska volleyball team's Rebekah Allick once opened up about the team's plan after losing a set
Nebraska volleyball team's Rebekah Allick once opened up about the Huskers' approach after losing a set. The Cornhuskers recorded 15 consecutive sweeps before losing a set against the UCLA Bruins on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Pauley Pavilion arena in Los Angeles, California.
The Bruins broke the Huskers' 48 consecutive set victories to list 25-17, 25-23, 19-25, 25-15 score on Friday. In an interview with Hail Varsity in October, Allick said that even if the team loses any set, their focus will be on the process, as consecutive set victories do not assure the championship title.
"Just keep playing," Allick said. "I feel like if we become fixated on the outcome, it has never ever worked in anyone's favor. So just staying in the moment is huge and a big takeaway that I have from John Cook, like just coaching me over the last few years. He almost used to come with a little bit of an attitude when we were ranked number one. He was like, 'So you think you guys can just coast this week because you're ranked number one?' Just this and that." (7:30 onwards)The Nebraska Volleyball team will next compete against Iowa on November 20, 2025.
