Hunter Biden blasts ‘irrelevant’ Jake Tapper, suggests CNN anchor used ChatGPT to write book: ‘Poor journalism’

Hunter Biden delivered a nasty takedown of CNN’s Jake Tapper, accusing the anchor of “poor journalism,” suggesting his books were made with ChatGPT and even saying his colleagues don’t really like him.

The former first son leaned into Tapper, who co-authored the controversial book “Original Sin” about former President Joe Biden’s mental decline, during an appearance on Mediaite reporter Tommy Christopher’s Substack this week.

“[Tapper] says that I’m a scumbag and I’m a this and that and the other thing. And you know what? You can read my book all about my scumbaggery. I wrote all about it,” Hunter said.

“And addiction is a really, really, really ugly thing. Divorces are really, really, really ugly things. I don’t live my life to impress Jake Tapper, but I just think it’s really, really poor journalism.”

He tore into Tapper’s career, calling the news anchor “irrelevant.”

He ranted that Tapper only “ranks about 35 or 40” out of the top cable news shows today, adding that the audience for such programs is dying off.

“I don’t know many people that like Jake, okay? I really don’t. And I lived in DC for a very long time,” Hunter said.

“And I’m sure you can say the same about me, but … I don’t know many of his colleagues that like him or that respect him.”

Hunter also took a swipe at Tapper’s new book, “Race Against Terror,” an account of a jihadist’s trial that was published this month.

“I think Jake’s got to cool it on the ChatGPT and maybe give it at least a four-month period of time before he gives us another book,” Hunter said, prompting a shocked Christopher to murmur, “Wow.”

Hunter also slammed CNN for allowing Tapper to constantly plug “Original Sin” ahead of its release.

“It was definitely an infomercial for his book,” he said.

CNN did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
