Alex Windsor replies to accusations that AEW signed her because she is engaged to Will Ospreay

Alex Windsor has already proven herself to be one of the main attractions in the women's division. In such a short span of time, she has gained a large fan following, especially from those familiar with the UK wrestling scene. However, there are some fans who believe that the only reason Tony Khan signed her is that she is engaged to Will Ospreay.

During an interview with The Sun Sport, Alex Windsor stated that such accusations light a fire under her. She also admitted that she doesn't expect people who aren't familiar with the UK wrestling scene to know who she is right away.

“It definitely does light a fire under my a**, because it’s like, you know what, people who know me and have heard of me before, I don’t expect anyone outside of the UK scene to know who I am straight away, and there’s no problem with that. But I do think it’s a bit of a cop-out, and it’s very easy to just say, ‘Oh, she’s only here because of him,’ rather than being like, ‘Okay, well, she’s his girlfriend or fiancée — cool, I’ll check her out.”

It will be interesting to see how long it takes before Alex Windsor becomes a champion in AEW.
