Heated Rivalry's Hudson Williams Confirms Romance With Longtime Girlfriend
Hudson Williams is sending some fans to the penalty box.
The Heated Rivalry actor had a message for part of the show’s fandom, calling them out for unwanted behavior.
“Don't call yourself a fan if you share racist/ homophobic/biphobic/misogynistic/ageist/ ableist/parasocial/bigoted comments of any kind,” Hudson posted to Instagram Stories March 9. “None of us need your hateful ‘love.’”
“We all respect and support and love each other and are on the same side,” he added, “if you can't accept that gtfoh.”
And the 25-year-old wasn’t alone in his thoughts, as his costar François Arnaud shared the same message to his own Instagram Stories.
Since breaking out in the Crave and HBO Max series, Hudson—who confirmed his relationship with his longtime girlfriend on Valentine’s Day—has been surprised by the reactions he’s gotten about his life offscreen.
“I didn’t think there would be as many disrespectful people as there are,” he shared with Wonderland in January. “And vice versa, I didn’t think there would be as many respectful people as there are. I thought everyone would just be screaming, nice or kind of like, ‘Oh my God.’”
But Hudson found that many were trying to be respectful of his privacy and were telling their fellow fans to be mindful when approaching him in public.

“I’m seeing those comments, and that’s cool,” Hudson explained. “But then there are disrespectful people who are just like, ‘F--k that guy.’ And I’m like, holy s--t. Why are people hating on me? There’s also all this fake news about me. And I’m like, ‘How do I already have fake news?’”
François shared a similar sentiment, with the 40-year-old finding it difficult to take in both the positivity and the criticism that’s come from the show’s success.

“I can’t do that,” he confessed to Elle Canada in an interview published March 9, “so I have to leave a bit of distance between that and myself—go back to a creative headspace, think about what’s next and how I want to make that happen and be intentional about the next few months.”
For now, Hudson, François and their fellow Heated Rivalry costar Connor Storrie are preparing for season two of the series, which according to the show’s creator Jacob Tierney would start shooting in August with the goal of premiering in spring 2027.
While you wait for season two, keep reading for which shows will be hitting the small screen this year.
