Quinten Post is a restricted free agent, which adds an intriguing layer for the big man from the Golden State Warriors.
And that intrigue arrived on Monday: Post has signed an offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the offer sheet that Post has agreed to with the Grizzlies is a three-year, $30 million contract.
Because he's a restricted free agent, though, the Warriors have the right to match.

How long do the Warriors have to match Quinten Post's Grizzlies offer?
Golden State has until 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, July 7.
That gives them about 36 hours from the time that the offer sheet was reported by Charania. They may have known about it just a bit earlier than that.

What happens if the Warriors match the offer sheet?
The way restricted free agency offer sheets work is pretty simple.
If the Warriors match what the Grizzlies offered Post, they'll pay him that three years and $30 million that Memphis already agreed upon.
Essentially, it protects a team's rights to a player, but allows pursuit of a fair market value deal.
How do Grizzlies get Quinten Post?
If the Warriors decline to match the offer sheet, Post goes to the Grizzlies.
The deal he has signed is essentially conditional.
If the Warriors match, they keep him. If they don't, he goes to Memphis.
