South Florida (6-6) and San Jose State are spending Christmas Eve in paradise as they face off in the Hawaii Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii.
San Jose State is coming in hot after a nail-biting 34-31 victory over Stanford. Quarterback Walker Eget put on a show, throwing for 385 yards with four touchdowns and one pick, completing 33 of 49 passes (67.3%).
Lamar Radcliffe chipped in with 43 rushing yards on seven carries, while Nick Nash made waves with eight catches for 91 yards and two trips to the end zone.
South Florida, on the other hand, is looking to rebound after a tough 35-28 loss to Rice. Bryce Archie threw for 227 yards and a touchdown but also had one interception, completing 19 of 35 passes (54.3%).
He added 21 rushing yards on 10 carries. Nay’Quan Wright found the end zone once, rushing for 35 yards on six carries, while Sean Atkins dazzled with 110 receiving yards and a touchdown on seven catches.
