This afternoon, Yankee Stadium will once again become a college football venue for a day. It’s time for the 2025 Pinstripe Bowl!
The 15th edition of the Pinstripe Bowl will feature the Clemson Tigers facing off against the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Tigers are playing at Yankee Stadium for the first time, while Penn State won the 2014 Pinstripe Bowl in a overtime thriller against Boston College.
Both teams were seen as potential playoff entrants at the beginning of the season, but were only bowl-eligible by the end of the regular season.
Clemson finished 7-5 on the season, riding a four-game winning streak into this afternoon’s 2025 finale. Penn State is also entering on a winning streak of three games, but at 6-6, they also struggled midseason with a five-game losing skid and the firing of head coach James Franklin.
