The wait is finally over.

The FIFA World Cup kicks off today, June 11, and three of the first four matches will feature each of the host countries. However, before all of the action on the pitch gets started, each of the three host countries — the United States, Mexico and Canada — will hold opening ceremonies.

Each is slated to begin 90 minutes before the match is scheduled to begin, and each will feature talent from the respective country in addition to showcasing the culture and traditions of each country.

Who is performing at the World Cup opening ceremonies?

Mexico’s opening ceremony will feature J Balvin, Maná, Belinda, Alejandro Fernández, Los Ángeles Azules, Lila Downs and Danny Ocean. Shakira and Burna Boy will also be present to debut the World Cup 2026 anthem, “Dai Dai.”

The Canadian opening ceremony, scheduled for Friday afternoon, will be headlined by Alanis Morrisette, with Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream and William Prince.

Ahead of the UMSNT’s first match, the United States opening ceremony will include Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema and Tyla.
