How to complete Paving The Way quest in ARC Raiders

Paving The Way is a new quest from Apollo that arrived with the Cold Snap update. You do not need to worry about complicated procedures or fighting Arcs for specific drops, but the quest does require you to visit specific spots across multiple maps. Without knowing exactly where to go, this simple task can drag on much longer than necessary.

If you have the right locations, though, you can knock it out in just two runs. This guide breaks down the steps to help you finish Paving The Way quickly.

ARC Raiders: Paving The Way quest guide

Paving The Way involves four simple objectives that mostly require visiting specific locations. Since there is no heavy combat required, you can comfortably use a Free Loadout to get this done without risking your gear.

Objective overview

1. Go to any ENELICA building
2. Search for a notice board with a note from the researcher
3. On Buried City, reach the top floor above the Convinio in Piazza Roma
4. Find the researcher’s flat, and search for any research data.

How to complete Paving The Way quest

1. Go to any ENELICA building and search for a notice board

You need to visit an ENELICA building to kick things off. You can do this on either the Dam Battleground or Buried City map. If you want an easy run with less risk, the Dam is usually the better choice. Here is where to look on both maps:

• Dam Battleground: Head to the Water Treatment Control POI. Go to the front of the main building. You will spot the notice board right next to the main entrance. Interact with it to clear the step.

• Buried City: Go to the center of the map near the Maintenance Bunker. Look for the tall building present right beside the bunker. Head inside, and you will see the notice board immediately.

2. Find the researcher’s flat in Piazza Roma (Buried City)

For the next part, deploy into Buried City and travel to Piazza Roma. Look for the two high-rise buildings and head toward Apartment Building A1.

The room you need is on the floor just below the roof. The easiest way to get there is to go to the roof first, then take the stairs down one level. Turn right, then take an immediate second right to enter the correct room. On the west side, you will see a couple of computer screens. Approach them and hit the interact prompt to complete the step. Once you do that, the Paving The Way quest is complete.
