AEW star Jon Moxley's recent behavior has sparked speculations over his future with the Death Riders. The group leader has been visibly frustrated with some major losses recently and could be heading towards a breaking point.
This past week, Moxley lost his second consecutive match in the Continental Classic tournament, falling to Takeshita. This came after a major loss to his Death Riders soldier Claudio Castagnoli on Dynamite. The Death Riders leader now sits with just one win after three match with just three points. The AEW star now stares at an uphill battle to reach the semifinals. With other members of his group like Claudio and Pac still in the tournament, his ability to lead the group has been in focus.
After the loss to Claudio at Dynamite, Moxley was seen backstage with his team. The group immediately started working out after the match. The stable declared that they were united and would celebrate if any of their members won the tournament. However, Moxley's frustrations were bothering him. The star has two more matches left against Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy. If the former WWE Intercontinental Champion losses to Strong, his last match won't have any effect on his progress in the tournament. In fact, if the 40-year-old star loses his next match, it could send him over the edge.
AEW star Marina Shafir came out in support of Jon Moxley
In the middle of the chaos, Death Riders member Marina Shafir shared her thoughts with her leader.
Jon Moxley has been unpredictable and frustrated with his recent losses. However, Shafir made sure to convey that she stood by the former AEW Champion. On a recent post on social media, she detailed that every time a Death Riders star walks into the ring, they go to war with themselves.
It will be interesting to see if Moxley can bounce back from the recent string of losses in the Continental Classic.
