The Dallas Cowboys and University of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders seem to have a mutual interest in one another, potentially bringing Coach Prime to "Big D."
If a few dominos are to fall, this could lead to Dak Prescott being the quarterback of the Tennessee Titans in 2025.
The Titans currently possess the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, but if Sanders is hired by the Cowboys, it is going to likely come with the caveat that Dallas selects his son Shedeur, considered a top-two quarterback prospect in this class along with Miami's Cam Ward.
Since the Cowboys possess only the No. 12 pick, they are almost certainly not going to be able to draft Sanders there. That would mean trading to move up, and to be safe, they may covet Tennessee's slot all the way at the top.
It seems that dangling the veteran Prescott, who questions have surrounded for years in Dallas as to whether he can take the Cowboys to the next level, would be the move. Prescott is a three-time Pro Bowler and was a second-team All-Pro in 2023, when he led the NFL in touchdown passes with 36.
The criticism surrounding Prescott's ability to win big games (he has two playoff wins in nine seasons) has in large part been magnified due to the fact that he plays for the Cowboys. It would be understandable if Prescott were to welcome a move to a team like Tennessee where there would be significantly fewer expectations heaped on him.
Of course, all of this likely only becomes a possibility if the Cowboys hire Sanders as their next head coach. If not, then the Titans are likely to stay at No. 1 and draft their signal-caller of the future.
