LeBron James has finally addressed the viral 'f**kery' tweet, during an appearance on the podcast 'New Heights'

Appearing as a guest on the show hosted by NFL brothers Travis and Jason Kelce, the Lakers star was asked about a classic viral tweet, which implied that his career would be ending after turning 30.

James, who recently turned 40, admitted that not only was he aware of the post, but that it has provided motivation for him during the last decade of his career.

It's one of the most infamous posts in 'NBA Twitter' history, and LeBron James has finally addressed it, during a recent podcast appearance.

The tweet, posted by user @urkle91 on May 25, 2015, reads "Lebron is 30, this fuckery won't go on for much longer, thank god."

James, of course, went on to have an incredibly successful next 10 years, including two championships and corresponding Finals MVP awards, as well as nine All-Star appearances and the same amount of All-NBA nods.

Speaking to the Kelces, James said that he was well aware of the tweet, and he would come back to it over the years for a laugh.

"I saw that tweet throughout all of my thirties, and I laughed so hard at it every single time," James said.

"Wanna know what's funny? When I turned 40, the same f**king guy said 'LeBron turned 40, this f**kery won't go on much longer.'

"He's gonna be real upset when I turn 50."

James this season became the first player in NBA history to play in the league as both a teenager and a 40-year-old, across a career that saw him become the league's all-time leading scorer, and a four-time league MVP.
