ESPN's Ben Solak highlighted a key statistic from Hurts' Week 2 performance against the Titans that should have fans very optimistic about this offense going forward.

"3: How many third-down conversions Jalen Hurts had on third-and-11 or longer in the Eagles' win -- the first such game of his career," Solak writes. "Hurts had nine total third-down conversions -- the most he has had in any game, regular season or postseason."

This third-down statistic from Solak is a massive sign the Eagles offense has a ton of potential moving forward. Hurts was surgical on third down in the win over the Titans.

While the offense still has some issues to resolve, especially up front and in the run game, Hurts' production on third down in this Titans matchup, converting third-and-long multiple times, is something that should give fans a ton of confidence in this team.

This kind of performance isn't luck-based. This is Sean Mannion having the right play call dialed up, and Hurts executing it to perfection when it matters most.

Hurts won't be perfect, and he doesn't have to be. But if he and the offense can actually get these third-and-longs converted, the Eagles offense can be a lot more deadly than it's been in recent years.

Carson Wentz in 2017 broke out in a major way, thanks in large part to how incredible he was on third downs. Hurts was incredible in Week 2, converting multiple key third downs through the air.

This statistic that Solak highlighted is one that should have Eagles fans confident about this offense moving forward. So long as the run game improves, this Eagles offense could operate at a very high level this year.
