Scottie Scheffler is halfway to the career grand slam, but his legacy already feels fairly secure.
The two-time Masters winner added a third major championship at Quail Hollow, and he did so with relative ease. After an electrifying finish to his third round on Saturday, Scheffler was able to withstand a push from Jon Rahm in the middle of Sunday's final round and win by five strokes.
The victory was a taste of redemption for Scheffler, whose PGA Championship in 2024 was marred by his arrest after a traffic incident before the second round. Scheffler was able to continue his tournament and still placed well, but with the focus fully on golf this time around, he was brilliant.
Here's a look at how much money Scheffler won by capturing a PGA Championship win.

How much money did Scottie Scheffler win at the PGA Championship?
Scheffler won $3.42 million for winning the Wanamaker Trophy, a touch higher than Xander Schauffele's $3.33 million in winnings from last year's PGA Championship.
While the purse is the largest in PGA Championship history, Scheffler won about $2 million more than anyone else in the field. Because Harris English, Bryson DeChambeau and Davis Riley all tied for second, the second-place prize was split between the three at $1.42 million.
At $3.42 million, Scheffler's winnings come in just behind the $3.6 million he won at the 2024 Masters. He earned $2.7 million for his 2022 Masters win. With how steady he continues to look on the golf course, more major wins — and major paydays — certainly seem possible in the near future.
