Super Bowl 48: Seahawks 43, Broncos 8
Seattle stifled Denver nearly the entire game, allowing just eight points in the third quarter. Before the Broncos scored, Seattle was up 36-0. Denver scored a touchdown and then had the two-point conversion, but that was all it could muster in the blowout loss.
The Seahawks defense and special teams units asserted their dominance early, forcing the Broncos into a safety seven seconds into the game. Later, Seattle's defense had a 69-yard pick-six, and in the third quarter, Percy Harvin had an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Quarterback Russell Wilson completed 18 of his 25 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Marshawn Lynch had 39 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.

When was the last time the Seahawks played in the Super Bowl?
The Seahawks last played in the Super Bowl following the 2014 season. This game became one of the most notorious games in NFL history. Seattle lost 28-24 to the New England Patriots. This is, of course, the game where, instead of giving the ball to running back Marshawn Lynch at the goal line, Pete Carroll elected to call a pass play, and it was picked off by the Patriots, sealing the win for New England.
