Jasson Dominguez is apparently returning to the major leagues.
The New York Yankees are calling him up, according to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.
The move is likely at least in part because Giancarlo Stanton is hurting with some right calf tightness.
It would be the first MLB action of the season if Dominguez gets into a game. He was a key contributor in 123 games in 2025 with 10 home runs and 23 stolen bases.
This spring, though, Dominguez got squeezed out of a role. The Yankees really had nowhere to put him.
So rather than figuring out how to make space for the 23-year old outfielder, they sent him down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Dominguez could've moped, but he has played well down with the Railriders.

Jasson Dominguez Triple-A stats 2026

He has three home runs, eight steals and 15 RBI.

Dominguez has added five doubles and 13 walks, and as far as those eight steals go, he has only been caught once.
The switch-hitter still has some questions about his defensive ability, which could prevent him from tons of action while in the Bronx, but he could also potentially just fill Stanton's role at DH if the slugger has to go on the IL.
