How Brewers have chance to make World Series history not seen since 1914

The 2026 Milwaukee Brewers have a real chance of making the World Series. Their pitching is great, the defense is strong, and the offense has been good as well.

This is a complete team, and one that could easily make the World Series without much surprise. If they do make the World Series, there's a likely chance they'd make some impressive MLB history.

As Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic highlighted, if the Brewers make the World Series and start Luis Lara, Jackson Chourio, and Cooper Pratt in the same lineup, they could be the first team since 1914 to have three players 22 and younger in a World Series lineup.

"Per Stats Perform, the only team to start three position players 22 or younger in a World Series game was the 1914 Boston Braves -- Les Mann (21, RF), Rabbit Maranville (22, SS) and Charlie Deal (22, 3B) in Game 2 against the Philadelphia Athletics," Rosenthal writes.

That team was called the "Miracle Braves" and went on to win the World Series. If the Brewers make the World Series, they can join that Braves team in MLB history.

All they would have to do is have Chourio, Lara, and Pratt starting in the lineup during any World Series game to accomplish this MLB history.

Considering all three would likely be in the lineup if the Brewers get to the World Series, this history might be achieved so long as all three players stay healthy and Milwaukee makes the World Series.

Getting there is going to be difficult, as they will have to contend with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, and Philadelphia Phillies. Plus, the Arizona Diamondbacks or San Diego Padres could make the postseason difficult as well.

This history wouldn't mean too much, but it would highlight how impressive a job that Pat Murphy's has done this season. He might win another Manager of the Year award, and this kind of feat of MLB history would certainly justify such an award.
