This season, the Miami Heat have been dealing with a unique experience as they hit the road and compete with teams on their regular season schedule. This experience entails more than the usual fatigue and soreness; as a matter of fact, it has become an inconvenience that has plagued the team no less than three times.
According to reporter Ira Winderman, the Heat pulled up to San Antonio's Frost Bank Center on Thursday, only to find that the locker rooms were being disinfected. This was because of not-so-pleasant fumes that were still present one night after rapper NBA YoungBoy held a concert in that same venue.
For the third time this season, the Heat are playing in an arena the night after an NBA Youngboy concert. And it smells the same as the first two. Locker rooms literally are closed here in San Antonio with signs that they are being disinfected.

This report led to fans posting hilarious reactions to the "residue" that the Heat, not to mention various arena staff members, have been running into.

"They hotboxing the s*** out then locker rooms," one fan tweeted. They hotboxing the s*** out then locker rooms 😂
not even bleach can fix what NBA YoungBoy concerts leave behind.. you just know half that scent came from post-concert hookups in the parking lot 😭
I bet the folks cleaning up are just hoping they don't find any lost autographed sneakers next to the discarded popcorn buckets. That's probably the real mystery ingredient we're all missing out on.
yb giving the heat superpowers
Well no wonder the offense is so good, the whole team high off good vibes
Heat players walking in like it’s a side quest
Despite the 107-101 loss that the Heat suffered at the hands of the Spurs on Thursday, Miami is still in good shape to start the season, going 3-2 in their first five games.
The Heat, who won three straight games in a four-day span, are currently fourth in defensive rating and ninth in offensive rating. Leading the charge for the Heat in the early goings of the season are Norman Powell (24.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 3.0 apg) and Bam Adebayo (23.0 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 2.8 apg).
Miami is right in the thick of things in the Eastern Conference. It's likely, though, that some players and even members of the coaching staff aren't too thrilled about having to compete in an arena following an NBA YoungBoy concert.
Analyst points out Miami Heat's style that deviates from popular offensive set in NBA
After two lackluster seasons, it appears that the Heat are trying to redefine their playing style. As analyst Kevin O'Connor pointed out this week, Miami has been deviating from one of the most commonly used offensive sets in the league.
"The Miami Heat are last in the NBA in both pick-and-rolls and handoffs per game by a WIDE margin," O'Connor tweeted on Thursday. The Miami Heat are last in the NBA in both pick-and-rolls and handoffs per game by a WIDE margin. Discussed their brand new offensive style with @Adam_Mares
The fact that the Heat are a top-10 offense in the league, then, validates the decision of head coach Erik Spoelstra to scale down on conventional pick-and-roll action in favor of other creative offensive sets.
