The Charlotte Hornets will be returning from the All-Star break with a tough task. On Thursday night, they will be taking on one of the top teams in the Western Conference, the Houston Rockets.
Charlotte had their nine-game win streak come to an end right before the break, losing to the Detroit Pistons on Feb. 9, but the team followed that up with a win over the Atlanta Hawks on Feb. 11.
Entering the contest, questions remained about the availability of players such as LaMelo Ball and Coby White, who has yet to make his Hornets debut since being acquired at the trade deadline.
Hornets injury update: Coby White (calf) listed as out, LaMelo Ball available vs. Rockets
The NBA's official injury report has listed Miles Bridges (suspension), Moussa Diabate (suspension), Liam McNeeley (ankle), and Coby White (calf) as out for Thursday's game against the Rockets.
LaMelo Ball, who was involved in a car accident on Wednesday, was not listed on the injury report and will be available for the Hornets.
Bridges and Diabate are still serving their suspensions after being involved in the fight that broke out in their loss to the Pistons on Feb. 9.
McNeeley and White will continue their absences that have extended since before the All-Star break.
As for the Rockets, they will be without Steven Adams (ankle) and Fred VanVleet (knee).
Charlotte now sits as the No. 9 seed in the East after going on their nine-game win streak. They will attempt to find that same momentum on Thursday.
