Hornets get vote of confidence from franchise legend

The Charlotte Hornets enter Tuesday's road matchup against the Chicago Bulls looking to make a playoff push.

Currently, the team sits 10th place in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Atlanta Hawks by half a game for ninth place.

Although the playoffs looked like a long-shot earlier in the year, the Hornets have gone 11-3 in their last 12 games, going from 16-28 to 27-31 in a matter of weeks.

Their recent play has caught the attention of many, including some past franchise legends.

In a recent interview, 10-year Hornets Muggsy Bogues was asked if he thought Charlotte could turn things around and make the playoffs.

"Absolutely," said Bogues. "The guys have been playing well. Health is the key, if the guys are healthy with LaMelo, Miles, Miller, Kon and Diabate all on the same floor at the same time. A lot of success has been having those guys. Unfortunately, we have the suspension, but I still think they bounce back."

Bogues is right. This season, health has been the biggest factor, as the Hornets have boasted their success when at full-strength.

In fact, when LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel all play together, the Hornets are 24-16. That record includes wins against the San Antonio Spurs and the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder.

Tuesday night will give Charlotte another opportunity to see the floor at full-strength, with Moussa Diabate and Miles Bridges returning from suspension.

Additionally, Coby White is set to make his debut following a trade from the Chicago Bulls.

After Tuesday's game, the Hornets will face the Pacers away from home Thursday.
