Sparxie was revealed alongside Yao Guang in the Honkai Star Rail 4.0 drip marketing campaign. As such, they are confirmed to debut in the next update. Players online were previously expecting a special version of Sparkles to arrive in the future patch.

The speculations prove true, with HoYoverse confirming that Sparxie and Sparkles are the same entity.
